1. Choose a photo — front-facing, even light, plain light background.
2. Adjust — drag to move, slider to zoom.
3. Optional: replace background
⚠️ Many authorities reject photos that are digitally altered. For the safest result, take the photo against a plain light wall and skip this step.
Background editing is disabled for this photo type because the issuing authority prohibits edited or background-replaced photos. Use a real plain wall.

Making a good 2×2 at home
- Stand about 50 cm in front of a plain white or off-white wall to avoid a shadow behind you.
- Face a window so light falls evenly on your face; avoid overhead light that makes eye-socket shadows.
- Have someone else hold the phone at eye level about 1.2–1.5 m away and zoom in slightly — a selfie distorts the nose.
- Upload, check that your eyes sit inside the green band and the top of your head between the blue lines, and download.
Printing six on a 4×6
Download the 4×6 sheet (1800×1200 px, 300 DPI) and order a standard 4×6 print at any pharmacy or supermarket photo counter for well under a dollar. Choose "no crop" and cut along the guides. Each photo will be exactly 2×2 inches.
